People cannot live without music. They can listen to music everywhere even in the forest, when they walk and listen to birds singing.

Music can be classical and modern. Classical music is performed by symphonic orchestras in great halls. There are a lot of famous composers whose music is played nowadays. Classical music is serious and requires good understanding that"s why it may seem to be boring and dull for someone.

Most people prefer modern music. Modern music is performed on TV and radio. Modern music has different genres: pop, rock, disco, rap, techno and others. Most young people like dance and pop. Older people are fond of jazz, rock and pop. There are a lot of singers and music bands who perform this or that kind of music.Now there are a lot of discs and records of different performers.

The last achievement in music production is a clip. Musical clips are short films accompanied by the melody. It may be a short story telling about the message of the song or simply a great number of different pictures. People like to watch clips because it’s not only listening to music but also watching interesting things. I’m fond of music and like to listen to it because it helps me to have good relaxation.

Люди не могут жить без музыки. Её можно услышать везде, даже в лесу, когда люди гуляют и слушают пение птиц.

Музыка может быть классической и современной. Классическая музыка исполняется симфоническим оркестрами в больших залах. Есть много известных композиторов, чья музыка исполняется в наши дни. Классическая музыка - серьезная и требует хорошего понимания, поэтому некоторым людям она может показаться скучной и тупой.

Большинство людей предпочитают современную музыку. Современные музыка исполняется на радио и телевидении. Современная музыка может быть различных видов: поп, рок, диско, рэп, техно и другие. Большинство молодых людей любят танцевальную и поп. Пожилые люди любят джаз, рок и поп музыку. Есть много певцов и музыкальных групп, которые исполняют ту или иную музыку.Сейчас есть много дисков и записей разных исполнителей.

Последнее достижение в музыке- производство клипов. Музыкальные клипы это короткометражные фильмы, сопровождаемые мелодией. Это может быть рассказ, о смысле песни или просто большое количество различных изображений. Людям нравится смотреть клипы, потому что они не только слушают музыку, но и смотрят что-то интересное. Я люблю музыку и люблю слушать её, так как это помогает мне хорошо отдохнуть.

Music in Our Life

I love music, I think people can not live without it. The first thing I do in the morning I switch on my tape - recorder.

We can hear music everywhere: in the streets, in the shops, on TV, over the radio, in the cars, in the parks, everywhere. I think it"s really doesn"t matter what kind of music you prefer: rock, pop, classical, jazz. A lot of people are fond of music. They buy tapes, go to the concerts, visit Concert Halls and Opera Theatres.

I enjoy listening music because it reflects my moods and emotions. Very often when I"m blue, I play my favourite merry songs and feel much better.

Sometimes I attend music halls and the concerts, when popular groups and singers are there. I like watching music programs on TV. I like to know more and more about popular talented groups and singers I like.

One wall of my room is covered with posters of "Bon Jovi", "Scorpions", "Roxette", Russian singers Agutin, Sjutkin, Linda and others. Some people go to musics schools, they play different musical instruments, sing in the chorus, try to compose music.

Unfortunately there are so many ungifted singers on the stages, that it makes me sad. To have a good producer doesn"t mean to have good ears and voice. I think that only talented people can claim to be singers.

Я люблю музыку, и мне кажется, что люди не могут жить без нее. Первое, что я делаю утром - это включаю магнитофон.

Я думаю, что не имеет никакого значения, какую музыку вы предпочитаете: рок, поп, классическую, джаз. Многим людям нравится музыка. Мне очень нравится слушать музыку, потому что она отражает мои настроения и эмоции. Очень часто, когда мне грустно, я включаю свои любимые веселые песни и чувствую себя намного лучше.

Иногда я посещаю концертные залы, когда мои любимые группы или исполнители там выступают. Мне нравится смотреть музыкальные передачи по телевизору. Мне нравится узнавать больше и больше о популярных талантливых группах и исполнителях, которые мне нравятся.

Некоторые ходят в музыкальные школы. Они играют на различных музыкальных инструментах, поют в хоре, пытаются сочинять музыку.

К сожалению, на нашей эстраде сейчас так много бездарных исполнителей, что меня это огорчает. Иметь хорошего продюсера - еще не значит иметь хороший слух или голос. Мне кажется, что только талантливые люди имеют право называться певцами.

We listening to the music every day and everywhere. But who can tell us what is it music ? Some people think that it’s just arrangement of sounds or voices. But I think it’s something more. Some people even say that there is no practical use for mankind in music. It’s not a food, shelter, medicines and you cannot even touch it. But the other spend all their lives to create it. May be their are wrong? Let’s try to check this out.
Music is what follows us almost everywhere — at home, at work, in shops, we listen to it while travelling, dreaming, and playing on the computer… As far as I’m concerned music is a necessary part of my life. I suppose all of us wouldn’t be able to live in a way we live now if music didn’t exist. And it’s all because of the enormous influence of music on our lives.
Well, music evokes all kinds of emotions — your temper goes up when you listen to a cheerful piece of music, doesn’t it? Some songs make you recollect various events — and you feel nostalgia, sometimes even anguish. Hundreds of songs are about love — and when you’re in love you feel these songs are natural for you and the melody and lyrics express exactly what you feel. Serene and clear music washes away your sorrow, soul-elevating songs help to understand that life goes on. On the other hand, music can make you feel anxiety, boredom or even rage if it’s not the «right» music for you. I believe that music influences my life a lot. It helps me to grow up, to overcome difficulties, to feel various emotions more deeply. I also listen to songs as background music and, if to choose the right piece of music, it’s a very useful collaboration. For example, right now I’m listening to peaceful sweet melodies and it stimulates my activity. I like listening to my favourite songs, very eloquent and striking, while drawing and painting. Here I should say that the topic and the mood of my pictures usually depend on this music. And I often enjoy listening to music while going somewhere or just strolling down the streets. Firstly it entertains me and makes the trip shorter, secondly it helps to notice the beauty of our town. How wonderful it’s to watch yellow leaves falling, the sun shining and listen to your favourite songs at the same time.
But the influence of music can be negative, even destructive sometimes. Some «musical» bands are not musical at all, they don’t play music but only make some noise and a monotonous succession of sounds. Scientists say that listening to it may even make your spatial reasoning more difficult. Moreover, the lyrics are not of a high-quality, they are very rude, violent, primitive and sometimes preach fascism and ruthlessness. Certainly the intake of such «music» can’t appeal to good feelings. Music can also become an obsession. Tn this case we can say that music is destructive because these people can’t enjoy the life entirely.
So, why do different people prefer various kinds of music? The reason for it is that we all have different mental, physical and emotional tendencies. The physical and psychological reactions will differ because of the varying characteristics we have inherited. Each of us has his own spiritual world and chooses the music which is natural for him. In my opinion the choice of music also depends on our age and gender. For instance, children like simple cheerful songs, young lads prefer either rock or rap — it entertains them, its lyrics help to find the solution to problems. Lots of teenager-girls are fond of calm songs about love, adults listen to rather simple music as background music while driving to work or reading newspapers. Our Grannies and Granddads like old songs which remind them of their past. That’s why sometimes there is misunderstanding between fathers and sons, girls and boys — people don’t want to listen to other opinions, don’t want to understand we all have different perception of the world.
Nowadays there are numerous genres of music but the main are classical, pop, rock and rap music. The majority of people listen to all kinds of music — the name of the genres doesn’t play any role for them,’songs themselves should be attractive — it can be heavy-metal music or a tender clear pop hit. But some people prefer only one genre (for example, classical music) and try to convince everybody that rock or rap are not worth listening to. I can’t stand such declarations — if a person finds classical music boring it doesn’t mean he is stupid! At the same time rock-fans are not always rude as many people think. And I reckon that if more people could make allowances for other opinions there would be fewer conflicts and offences. I think that people refer different music to various genres because music needs to be classified. Without it people just cannot find the song they want. So the aim of classification is comfort not offences. I listen to various music, usually rock, but I also like classical and high-quality pop music. Perhaps I don’t listen to rap and hip-hop only, maybe
because I am not fond of its lyrics, Nowadays rock is a very wide notion: I suppose no one knows all its genres.
I prefer indie-rock. Indie means something strange, not usual, something new. It’s not like heavy metal, for example, it’s much more melodic and personal, I think. Tndie-rock musicians sing about friendship, growing up, growing old, love, politics, the meaning of life — so their lyrics aren’t primitive (like the lyrics of most pop songs), they make you reason. I believe you can find there the answers to your questions. Another reason for my appreciation of Tndie-rock is that the sounds of their music know no bounds — besides guitars and drams they can use the piano, the violin, the woodwinds, even the organ! I know lots of songs which were recorded with a symphony orchestra. So we can see that even rock and classical music can «get along with» each other.
From time to time I listen to light cheerful songs with almost senseless lyrics — they raise my mood and help to relax. All in all, my choice of music depends on the situation.
Taking everything into account I’d like to say that music is something personal for each human — it’s not just an entertainment but a part of your soul and mind. That’s why choose what you like, not what is popular or considered to be good. You’ll be very surprised with results — maybe you’ll see everything from another point of view. And — who knows? — music will encourage you to do what you have never dared to do or inspire you to create something so striking that it will change many people’s lives.

Music in my life

The word “music” itself has come from the name of nine ancient goddesses, the muses who were considered to inspire artists and scientists. The history of music counts hundreds of years.

Now it plays a significant role in modern youth’s life. Calm music helps us to relax and chill out after some activities. On the contrary, fast music is aimed at giving us additional energy, take away depression.

As to me I’ve always been fond of various styles of music. Actually I’m neither a fan of any group or singer, nor of any particular style. I listen to everything that sounds nice to me. Of course, there are some groups that I prefer, for example“Queen”. This group was popular in the late 70ths and 80ths until the death of its leader, Freddy Mercury. But still its amazing songs gain more and more admirers. Everybody has heard the famous “We are the champions” or “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Moreover “Queen” is admitted to be one of the most popular British groups in the history of British pop and rock music. Freddy’s death was a real shock for hundreds of millions of his fans.

Unfortunately up-to-date popular songs are often senseless. They are sung by people without strong voices . Today’s show- business depends much more on money, than on one’s skills.

Classical music is a little bit difficult for me but I really adore some pieces of music, especially the opera. My parents and I sometimes go to the Bolshoi Theater and The Theatre of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich- Danchenko, there we can listen to classic operas and modern performances. To my mind, every man of education should sometimes turn to this kind of music because it fosters sense of beauty. Some stage managers use classical arrangement in their movies: we can remember the famous intro of “Star wars” or “Lord of the rings”.

On the whole I think music is a wonderful invention of human’s mind though we shouldn’t carry to excess. Sometimes it’s useful just to listen to the silence.

Сейчас музыка играет важную роль в жизни молодежи. Спокойная музыка помогает нам расслабиться и успокоиться после трудовой деятельности. Быстрая музыка, наоборот, даёт придаёт нам дополнительную энергию, избавляет от депрессии.

Что касается меня, то я всегда любила различные стили музыки. На самом деле, я никогда не являлась фанатом ни группы, ни певца, ни определенного музыкального стиля. Я слушаю всё, что мне нравиться. Конечно, есть группы, которые я предпочитаю слушать, например группа «Queen». Это группа была популярна в конце 70-х, 80-х годов, до того, как умер главный солист группы, Фредди Меркурии. Но до сих пор великолепная музыка этой группы покоряет всё больше и больше фанатов. Все слышали знаменитую песню «We are champions» или «Bohemian Rhapsody». Более того, группа «Queen» признана одной из самых популярных Британских групп в истории Британской попсы и рок-музыки. Смерть Фредди стало настоящим шоком для сотни миллионов фанатов.

К сожалению, современные популярные песни часто не имеют смысла. Их поют люди, не имеющие сильный голос. На сегодняшний момент шоу-бизнес зависит больше от денег, а не от таланта.

Классическая музыка для меня немного сложновата, но я действительно обожаю некоторые музыкальные произведения, особенно оперу. Иногда я со своими родителями хожу в Большой театр, в театр имени Станиславского и Немировича- Данченко. Там мы можем послушать классические оперы или современные произведения. Я считаю, что каждому образованному человеку следует слушать такую музыку, потому что она развивает чувство прекрасного. Некоторые режиссёры используют классические произведения в своих фильмах: например знаменитая заставка в фильме «Звёздные войны» или «Властелин колец».

В общем, я считаю, что музыка это чудесное изобретение человека, хотя нам не следует излишне увлекаться. Ингода полезно просто послушать тишину.
